SEPS is able to design a tailor made course or set of courses to train your employees in how to identify and
avoid aggressive and violent individuals as well as how to be able to deescalate the situation or physically defend
themselves if they were ever involved in such incidents.
If necessary we can design the course in conjunction with the company's health and safety executive, if the aim/outcome of the
course is to instruct employees how to deal with aggression and violence within the workplace.
We can also design and run courses in control and restraint techniques, should this be desired.
These courses can be totally lecture based (with no physical contact), if instruction is limited to identification, avoidance and
deescalation of aggressive and violent situations.
We can also run tailored courses if the audience is to be totally female or totally male, focusing on the types of violence each
of these groups are most likely to face.
SEPS working with RIVA are able to design identification and screening solutions that can be built into an enterprises existing
recruitment and/or employee appraisal/evaluation processes.
Such processes help identify potentially 'troublesome' employees and the situations that are likely to cause them to act in aggressive
or destabilising ways. We can also offer training to managers and personnel staff on how to best handle these individuals and the correct methods by which to terminate their employment (if necessary).
Bullying amongst adults is a subject which is often dismissed as uncommon or irrelevant; something we believe was left behind in the schoolyard.
However much of our own research, along with that of others suggest that bullying and aggressive behavior in the workplace is far more prevalent
than we're likely to first believe.
If you would like to see (or complete), our general questionnaire on workplace bullying then please

It is extremely difficult for a company itself to investigate this phenomena as employees are unlikely to want to directly report such incidents
as they fear they won't be believed or that the company itself might view them in a 'bad light', especially if the bully is a popular and
effective employee.
Using a confidential third party, such as SEPS, allows employees a level of anonymity, which means an enterprise can start to fully understand
if it has a bulling problem and the extent/effect of it.
We can also help the company set guidelines and education programs that are aimed at preventing these problems occurring in the future.
A company may through it's normal course of business put its employees in certain circumstances in situations where the likelihood for aggression
and violence are significantly raised. This may be as simple as sending an employee to a country or place where violence is far more common and
the law enforcement agencies less willing or able to offer adequate protection.
SEPS would be happy to discuss the specific needs a company may have and how these can be addressed through special training programs and courses.
If a company is looking for an 'original' corporate or social event, SEPS has for other companies put on 1 day, ½ day or weekend seminars
and events: training individuals how to deal with a variety of uncommon situations, such as hostage and hijack situations.
Although we treat the subject matter seriously, we understand that the purpose of these events may be more fun in nature and can if desired
dress our instructors in protective Redman outfits to allow the participants to get a bit physical and let off a bit of steam.
