Law Enforcement Training Programs
In todays society a uniform can cause as many problems as it solves: there is no longer an automatic respect for police officers and
the job they attempt to do. For some individuals the intervention of a Law Enforcement Officer is justified and sometimes welcome,
whilst for other their presence is always seen as unnecessary and problematic.
Understanding the way an officer is perceived within certain situations is important if they are to do their job efficiently and effectively.
Many times officers become reliant on technologies and tools to do their jobs (firearms, batons, Tasers/stun guns, mace sprays etc) and
have become somewhat de-skilled in unarmed self defense, control/restraint and arrest techniques etc. This is not the fault of the officer
or even the department in which they work but a natural result of policies, which aim to offer as much protection to an officer as possible
i.e. giving them new tools to do the job.
The unfortunate result and natural consequence of such policy though is that if the officer is found without these tools they are not confident
in doing the job.
SEPS is at the cutting edge of self-protection training, using methods and techniques from law enforcement and military units around the world.
We can offer training programs and seminars that address these gaps and combine them with techniques around such areas as gun retention so the
chances of an officer being found without one of their tools is reduced.
